Aspiring Doctor, Aged 5, Attends Teddy Bear Clinic
Nora Phelan of South Orange plans on becoming an ambulance driver and a doctor when she grows up, so she was very excited by the opportunity to attend the Teddy Bear Clinic at Saint Barnabas Medical Center on July 18, 2012.
Nora is not afraid of shots, and consoles her little brother when he gets them, according to mom, Susan Phelan. The five-year-old brought her teddy bear, Jazzy, for a checkup at the Clinic, and together they visited a series of interactive, fun play stations designed to help children learn that they don’t have to fear a trip to the hospital.
