Eva Lou Elizabeth Bowman Milford of Winchester Gardens in Maplewood died on July 5 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. She was 87. Born in Mount Airy, NC, Milford settled in South Orange after marrying  the late Dr. William Milford in the mid-1940s. She was a longtime active member of Temple Sharey-Tefilo Israel in South Orange, where she was elected as the first president of the Women's Organization, now called the Sisterhood of Temple Sharey-Tefilo. Milford was also a life member of B'nai B'rith South Mountain Lodge and the International Council of Jewish Women.
