James J. DeCicco, 66, a former South Orange resident, died May 7. Born in East Orange, DeCicco worked for the Dept. of Public Works in South Orange from 1971 until he retired in 2001. He was a member of the Orange Essex Civic League. He moved from South Orange to Verona 22 years ago.

Jimmy grew up in South Orange and as was stated he retired from the DPW after 30 years. He was loved by so many and the line to pay their last respect to Jimmy were long. He was the heart of South Orange many a laugh was shared with our friend. His eyes would light up when the love of his life Patty would laugh and he would join in too. Jimmy I am proud to have called you a friend and for some really wonderful memories thanks. Leslie
