At the December 19, 2011 South Orange Maplewood School District Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Brian Osborne presented a proposal for Middle School Transformation. 

The Board of Education will hold a public forum on the proposal on January 11, 2012, at 8 p.m. in the Columbia High School Auditorium (following the Superintendent’s State of the District address at 7 p.m.). No action will be taken at this session.

The forum is one of a series of activities and events that the Board of Education is undertaking to ensure that the public is informed about the middle school proposal and has the opportunity to ask questions and share viewpoints as the Board deliberates over the future of middle level education in SOMSD.

The Board would appreciate questions related to the proposal submitted to MStransformation@somsd.k12.nj.us by 4 p.m. on Monday, January 9th.  These questions will help preparations for the January 11th forum.
