Resident Publishes 'Cherry Blossom Land at Branch Brook Park'
Christine Baker, a South Orange resident and former Maplewoodian, will celebrate her publication of Cherry Blossom Land at Branch Brook Park: A Bamberger Fuld Legacy, with local book signings.
The book features photographs by the author of Newark's magnificent Japanese cherry trees and presents a colorful history of how the trees got there. The book comes out just in time for the Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival, which is from Apr. 10 - Apr 25.
Baker will hold book signings on Apr. 12 from 6pm-8pm, at the South Orange Public Library, and on Apr. 17 from 2pm-3pm at Words Bookstore in Maplewood. Free bookmarks will be given with each book purchase. She will also sign books at the annual "Bloomfest" in Branch Brook Park on Sunday, Apr 18, from 11am-5pm, rain or shine.
