The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) recently hosted a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness, "Sip and Shop for a Cure," held at The Loft at SOPAC. The well-attended event featured boutique shopping with local vendors, culinary refreshments from South Orange's Eden Gourmet, and talks by medical professionals and breast cancer survivors. Portions of the proceeds from the boutique sales, a total of about $1,000, were donated to the Sisters Network of Central Jersey and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The program was part of SOPAC's ongoing commitment to improve the welfare of the community.
