The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) Community Engagement Survey closes on Sunday, January 31. As part of its ongoing strategic planning process, the survey is intended to reach across New Jersey and the NY metropolitan area to create a public dialog about how SOPAC can best serve its diverse communities in the future. The confidential survey is available online at www.sopacnow.org/survey/. For those without internet access, printed versions of the survey can be obtained by calling the SOPAC office at (973) 275-1114, ext. 107.
As a token of appreciation, each respondent who completes the survey and provides current e-contact information will be entered to win a trip for two to Florida. The Grand Prize, valued at approximately $1,200, includes a weekend stay at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida including roundtrip airfare from Newark to Fort Lauderdale. The drawing will be held on February 5, 2010 and no purchase is necessary to be entered into the drawing. The Grand Prize is only available to those over age 21 and other restrictions apply. Additionally, everyone who completes the survey and provides their contact information will receive a coupon good for 25% off tickets to selected 2010 SOPAC performances.
The survey represents one component of a broader Strategic Planning and Community Engagement Process that seeks to gain insights into how SOPAC can better serve its audiences and the community-at-large. The Process, which began in September 2009 and is expected to be completed by June 2010, also includes a number of interviews and several meetings with a Community Advisory Committee, as well as other leaders from education, social service, arts and cultural organizations, and government agencies.
