2nd Annual Sloppy-Joe Eating Contest at Celebrate South Orange
Six contestants vie for the honor of consuming the most sloppy joes in three minutes.
Six contestants were in the race this year.
The winner was Joel "The Cannon" Podelsky, from Laurence Harbor, N.J. He told Patch he would be taking a four-hour drive to Binghamton, N.Y., the next day to compete in a pasta-eating contest. He likened the contests to a "real high," better than smoking, drinking or drugs.
The runner-up was last year's champion, 24-year-old Nick "The Pirate" Sena.
