Baseline Budget Data on the Agenda for Board of Ed
The Board starts discussion of the 2012-2013 budget with a presentation of baseline budget data.
A presentation of baseline budget data is perhaps the leading item on a Board of Education draft agenda for tonight that is chock full of content.
The South Orange-Maplewood Board of Education holds its regular monthly meeting tonight at 7:30 at 525 Academy Street. Besides beginning 2012-2013 budget discussions in earnest, the Board will also review data concerning the college success of graduates, as well as a report on AP scores for 2010-11 and AP enrollment for 2011-12. Long-range facilities planning is also on the agenda.

Parents and others will also be turning up or tuning in to see if Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian Osborne makes any additional statements about the alleged "pro-slavery" t-shirt incident at Columbia last Wednesday night.

The Board of Education will meet on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the South Orange Middle School Little Theater, 70 Ridgewood Road, South Orange, NJ to hold a Special BOE Meeting to engage the public in a discussion about their concerns and interests regarding the results of middle school restructuring as they relate to future academic placement recommendations. A panel of administrators and teachers will join Board members to answer questions from the public. No action will be taken. |
