CHS Squares Off Against Caldwell in Varsity Soccer

Game ends in 2-2 tie, which is broken by a goal scored on a penalty kick Caldwell.

It was an exciting and action filled match between the boys Caldwell Chiefs soccer team, who squared off against Columbia High School at Bonnell field on Thursday.

Columbia led the game early on, but the chiefs caught up in the second half and at the end of regular play, the score was tied 2-2, with Jimmy Sweeney and Christian Hauser scoring a goal each.

For Columbia, Andrew DeFlueri and Alec Ramos scored the goals in the varsity match.

The clock went into a 10-minute overtime period and Sweeney scored the goal to win the match on a penalty kick.

However, Columbia beat the JV boys team by a score of 3-0 on the lower field.
