Brick Lane Curry House Opens At Last

Brick Lane Curry House opens in Montclair

Indian food lovers have been waiting with bated breath for the opening of the highly acclaimedBrick Lane Curry House (BLCH) at it's new location, 540 Valley Road, Montclair.  Good News: the wait is over!

According to Ritesh Patel, Director of Communications for Brick Lane Curry House, this weekend Brick Lane will launch their soft opening.  This Valley Road outpost now marks the third BLCH location.  The first two locations are in Manhattan, at 6th St. and Second Avenue, and at 53rd St. between Second and Third Avenues.

So what makes Brick Lane so special? Sati Sharma, chef and owner, operates with extremely stringent standards regarding his kitchen team, and the freshness and quality of Brick Lane product.  Bottled products are not tolerated, therefore, everything is made fresh daily. Although Sati will not be running the kitchen at the Montclair location, Kathik Kumar, a twenty-nine year old chef who trained under Sati for five years, will be running the kitchen and executing meals with the same passion and dedication as Sati.

Brick Lane Curry House Restaurant Group, which also owns Paratha Junction and Radicchio, signed the lease for the Valley Road location four years ago.  The transformation from Peking House Chinese Restaurant  into the slick, British style Indian restaurant required installation of new flooring, new electric, new plumbing, and new walls.  The revamped space now accomodates forty people - and I can't wait to be one of them!

Brick Lane is a BYOB, so be sure to pick up a bottle of your favorite libation prior to dining. Magnolia's is stocking up on King Fisher Beer and Riesling - sure to pair perfectly.
The restaurant will be open for dinner seven days a week (excluding this Sunday).
