Broadway and TV Star Tom Wopat to Perform at SOPAC
TV Action star, recording artist, and leading man takes the stage in South Orange This Saturday
Perhaps you remember Tom Wopat as Luke Duke on The Dukes of Hazard, a primetime television hit during the 70's. Or maybe you remember his Broadway debut in Cy Coleman’s I Love My Wife. Or starring as Curly in an off-Broadway production of Oklahoma. Or creating the role of Frank Butler to Bernadette Peters’ Annie in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun. Or from any of the other varied roles Wopat has taken on over the years.
Wopat, along the way, has recorded several albums of his own music, such as his latest album Consider it Swung. This Saturday, at 8 p.m., Wopat will share an intimate performance featuring American Standards, Broadway show tunes and songs from his own albums, on the stage at South Orange Performing Arts Center, at 1 SOPAC Way, South Orange.
Tickets range from $30 to $50, and may be purchsed by calling SOPAC at 973.313.ARTS or visiting www.SOPACnow.org.
