On Monday, we had stories on the costuming efforts for the upcoming "Cinderella" musical at SOMS and a CHS club's efforts to spread the word about teen dating violence. We also covered impressive victories by the CHS fencing and indoor track teams from over the weekend.

On Tuesday, we ran a profile of Mobolaji Akiode, a CHS '99 grad and former member of the Nigerian national women's basketball team, who recently founded Hope4GirlsAfrica, a non-profit dedicated to expanding opportunities for African women athletes. We had a video of groundhog Essex Ed predicting another six weeks of winter at an event at Turtle Back Zoo. But the real news of the day was a stunner: the arrest of 43-year Village employee Andy Brady for the alleged theft of $1,113 in Baird concert profits.

On Wednesday, we reported on the 16-2 CHS women's basketball after their win against East Orange. We also had stories on Orange's Star Tavern, an establishment near the South Orange border with pizza touted by the Star-Ledger as best in the thin-crust category. We covered a panel at Seton Hall where journalists and representatives of Italian-American groups discussed the impact of "Jersey Shore" on New Jersey's reputation, and Ben Salmon gave his tips on 10 easy Super Bowl snacks.

On Thursday, we had a local history piece on a pro football team once located in Orange; a review of a photo exhibition at Seton Hall with images from Bosnia and Herzegovina; and a feature on local massage therapy options.

On Friday, we had coverage of the Special Ed PTO meeting, where Supt. Brian Osborne spoke of cuts to Special Ed programming. We also had tips from Ben Salmon on making chicken wings for the Super Bowl and a story at the Pierro Gallery's first "Art Nite Out."
