FBI Investigating South Orange Bank Robbery

Chase Bank on South Orange Avenue was targeted by suspect dressed as a woman with veiled face.

 

The FBI is investigating a Wednesday, Nov. 21 robbery at the Chase Bank located at 18 S. Orange Ave. in South Orange, in which a veiled suspect, believed to be a woman, passed a note to a teller demanding cash, officials said Monday.

The suspect, approximately 5’7” tall, was dressed in a black jacket and wore black leather gloves with a red scarf or veil covering her face when she gave the note to the teller around 10:15 a.m., officials said.

The teller gave the suspect some cash and the suspect fled on foot.

No further information was available.
