FoodRaiser Supports Oheb Shalom Pantry

The community is invited to participate in the 5th Annual Supermarket Sweep "FOODRAISER" on Sunday, March 3, which will benefit the Oheb Shalom Pantry.

The Bobrow Kosher Food Pantry at Oheb Shalom Congregation in South Orange and the Jewish Family Service of Central NJ (JFS Central) Food Pantry in Elizabeth have served an unprecedented number of people — an average of 400-500 individuals a month.

The pantries have received and responded to more than 1,000 requests for emergency food this past year. With emergency food requests increasing and government funding decreasing, the kosher food pantries need additional donations to keep stocked.

To restock the pantries, the community is invited to participate in the 5th Annual Supermarket Sweep “FOODRAISER” on Sunday, March 3, at the ShopRite of Clark.
