Get Fit, Trim and Gorgeous in South Orange

If the new year means a new look, or holiday festivities mean fitness is on the agenda, you're not alone. The New York Times reports that January is the most important month of the year in the health club industry.

While resolutions don't always make it through the first month, there are a few strategies that help. First, be patient. Robert J. Giardina, chief executive of New York Sports Club, was quoted in the New York Times, “Exercise isn’t easy. Most people don’t like it,” Giardina says. “But if they can get past a certain point — usually it’s about two months or 12 workouts — they get committed.”

Second, keep it local. Less travel time to the spa or gym means a greater likelihood of getting there.

Finally, keep it fun with yoga, muay thai, and zumba, or visit a wellness center or beauty supply shop for a new look in this new year.
