The Hilton Branch of the Maplewood Public Library was recently awarded a $1,000 grant from the Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills.

The grant will be used to purchase child-sized backpacks and fill them with materials aimed at learning English as a second language. The library is working with Clinton School to make sure that the backpacks will go to the children who need them.
