Juicebox jams on Sunday in Montclair. The hometown rock and rollers will take the stage at Montclair Chill on Sunday March 11th at 5:30. Juicebox plans what Leslie Goldman calls “a killer set of Rock’n’roll.”
In addition, Juicebox’s new bassist, Ginger Moon, is on the scene, helping to move the band through the competition, towards a spot at the Bamboozle Festival this summer. Juicebox is already in the semi-finals, notes Goldman. If they reach the finals at the Stony Pony in Asbury Park, they could reach the championship round at the Gramercy Theatre. Goldman looks forward to the prospect. “It would be a free show,” she explains, “a nice chance to invite our loyal fans out for a night.”
In the meantime, Juicebox has been at work on new material, and focusing on their stage show, as they work towards Bamboozle. “It has been exciting to be judged,” says Goldman. “The judges have given us very favorable feedback, which is awesome.”
Montclair Chill features 16 bands, in numerous genres, starting at noon on Sunday. Tickets are $15 at the door, and Juicebox fans can get a free CD for coming out.
If you can’t come out, Goldman says there a way to support the hometown heroes. “The Break Contest is very much about the Social Media. Hey, it works! Can you fans please sign up at http://yuuzoo.com/, join the break contest and tell them you want to see JUICEBOX at Bamboozle. That way Juicebox can focus on giving you some great rock ‘n roll."
