The Labor Day weekend is upon us. Here's a look at what is open and closed on Monday, plus how to get out of town:

South Orange municipal offices are closed Monday.

Maplewood Post Offices are closed Monday.

All banks are closed Monday.

The South Orange pool is open through Labor Day, September 3, when it closes down for the season at 7:30 p.m. Weekend hours: Friday: 12 pm - 7:30 pm; Saturday, Sunday, Monday (Labor Day): 10 am to 7:30 pm.

Clearview Cinema is open; for movies and showtimes visit this website.

The South Orange Public Library is closed on Labor Day. (Saturday hours resume on Sat., Sept. 8)

Kings Super Market and Eden Gourmet will be open on Labor Day from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.

New Jersey Transit: Today (Friday), beginning at around 1 p.m., extra outbound trains will operate on the Northeast Corridor and Morris & Essex lines, both of which serve Maplewood. On Labor Day (Monday) trains will operate on a weekend/major holiday schedule on all lines.
