The South Orange Starbucks South Orange now features the work of local artist Michael McKenna of Scotch Plains. A self-taught photographer, McKenna is influenced by Brett and Edward Weston, Ansel Adams, and most recently Art Wolf. McKenna describes his style as "based on natural lighting and heavy contrast."

McKenna's subject is New Jersey, and his photos will be placed on permanent exhibit at the Essex County Equestrian Center and several more Starbucks locations.
