Maplewood/South Orange Kids Featured in The Wiz

Next Friday through Sunday, sixteen local kids will be lighting up the stage in a production of The Wiz in Basking Ridge.

The cast features Maplewood and South Orange residents Ruby and Lila Zinner, Meghan and Michael Hoey, Anni and Hannah Epstein, Billie Todd, Laura Ben-Asher, Hannah Baker, Marisa Boily, Matt Dandino, Sydney Schenker, Ava Senior, Lily and Molly Lindstrom, Austin Bommer and Emma Joy.

This year’s show, produced by Page O’Connor, with artistic direction by Renee Palermo, features 62 young performers from Front & Center for Performing Arts, ranging in age from 5 to 18.

The Junior and Senior Performing Arts Companies from Front & Center for Performing Arts — which is located in Springfield —  are presenting The Wiz from Friday, January 27 through Sunday, January 28 at the Ridge Performing Arts Center in Basking Ridge. Tickets are $20 and $25 and can be purchased online at www.ridgepac.com. They can also be purchased at the door.

Showtimes for The Wiz are Friday, January 27 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, January 28 at 1:30 pm and 7:30 pm and Sunday, January 29, at 1:30 p.m.
