CHS Student Wins National Skating Competition
Julia Harvey is nation's top freestyle roller skater.
Maplewood’s own Julia Harvey, 17, recently won first place in the National Sophomore Ladies A (15 and up) Free Style Roller Skating Competition in Lincoln, Nebraska – making her the top-ranked freestyle roller skater in the country.
As Patch reported in July, Harvey was inspired to take up roller skating seven years ago by an Italian exchange student living with her family.
