NewJerseyNewsroom.com: New Law Allows NJ Voters to Mail Ballots

New law changes absentee ballot system.

Gov. Jon Corzine has signed a new law allowing voters to send their ballots through the mail instead of appearing in person at a polling place, according to a NewJerseyNewsroom.com report.

The law eliminates traditional absentee ballots, including those sent to members of the military, and replaces them with a new, standardized ballot. Registered voters can choose to vote by mail for one year or for all future elections, and the county clerk will automatically send the voter a ballot during that time period.
