Oheb Kids Take Cookies to Police and Firefighters

The Zeman School of Oheb Shalom Congregation in South Orange held a Mitzvah Day

On Nov. 18, the Zeman School of Oheb Shalom Congregation in South Orange held a Mitzvah Day, or day of good deeds.

Students baked cookies and delivered them to the local police and fire stations in appreciation of the work that firefighters and police do every day.

They also baked pies to donate for a Thanksgiving meal at Franklin-St. John's United Methodist Church in Newark, wrote letters to Israeli soldiers, cards to sick congregants and collected gently used winter coats to help keep people warm this winter.
