It could have been worse, much, much worse, was the consensus of many residents of South Orange. The Rahway rose, trees came down, basements filled, power failed...but South Orange and its citizens hung tough.
Photos of downtown and the park on Sunday afternoon show water, but also the zeal of locals to get out and back to work.
