Police Blotter: Multiple Fighting Arrests
The following arrest information was provide by the South Orange Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
- Esteban Hernandez, a 19 year old West Orange resident, was arrested on Jan. 13 at approximately 8:20 p.m. as part of an ongoing series of arrests from a Jan. 6 fight at SOPAC. Detectives determined that Hernandez was the third individual involved in the fight.
- Ryan Carrie, a 19 year old Manalapan resident, was arrested on Jan. 14 at approximately 3:15 a.m. Officers responded to the area of Prospect and Irvington Ave. after reports of a disturbance and a fight had broken out. Carrie was arrested at the scene after he tried to flee despite an officer telling him to stay there. During the arrest, Carrie tried resisting the arrest and was charged with that offense.
- Alexander Curto, a 21 year old Hackettstown resident, was arrested on Jan. 14 at 2:22 a.m. after officers responded to a report of a man kicking and punching out several windows at the apartment complex located at 132 Milligan Place. Curto was arrested without further incident and his reasoning for damaging the property is unknown.
- Matthew Laderman, a 20 year old Paramus resident, was arrested on Jan. 14 at 2:27 a.m. after officers responded to a report of a disturbance and fight at the apartment complex located at 154 Irvington Avenue. Laderman was placed under arrest after it was determined that he had physically assaulted another resident of the complex.
- A West Orange resident stated that she had parked her 2009 Lexus in the N.J. Transit lot at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 16 and when she returned at 7 p.m., she discovered it had been broken into. Someone had damaged the driver's side door lock to gain entry and once inside, the person damaged the glove box.
