South Orange celebrated the Fourth of July with some recreation and the annual parade of patriotic and uniquely decorated bikes, strollers and citizens.

Medals and gift certificates were given out for the most patriotic, most creative and zaniest costumes.

"It was a great event put together by the Recreation Department," said Village President Alex Torpey. "[Picking winners at the parade] is probably the hardest decision I've had to make in a long time."

Patch has pictures of the parade and the winners, along with some images of what Maplewood was up to this morning.
