Facing shortages, residents should use as little water as possible
From the Village of South Orange:
As a result of extensive power outages and flooding, public water system across the state, including here in South Orange, have been severely impacted and are running below normal operating capacity.
To be proactive and ensure available water capacity and pressure for firefighting and emergency services, as well as potable consumption, residents are strongly advised to converse water as much as possible and only use water for drinking, medical uses and other absolute necessities, while deferring laundry, cleaning and other discretionary uses at this time.
