Everyone else may be dicing potatoes, prepping the bird, baking pies or cleaning house for the guests, but Chris Dickson and his merry band of rockin' do-gooders will be at the South Orange Elks Lodge getting their Rent Party on on Wednesday night, Nov. 23 (for an explanation on Rent Parties, click here).

Dickson promises a "home-cooked meal" lineup of all local bands. He himself will be performing in Asbury Knights, providing a set of covers of Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes (first three records only!). The band includes a five-piece horn section.

The special Thanksgiving Eve Rent Party is $5 at the door. Bring non-perishable goods to donate. The turkey and the vacuuming can wait.
