Day 6 with no power and utility pole still dangling on Meadowbrook Lane with no sight of PSE&G anywhere.

Left a message about ourselves and son-in-law and daughter.

Tried to call. DiVincenzo's voice mailbox is full.

As per the mayor's suggestion I have emailed the president of PSEG. I also emailed our Sentaor and the two Assembly Members for Maplewood. I doubt that it will do any good but I imagine it can't hurt. Contact info below in case others are interested in doing the same:

The Essex County person actually just returned my call and said they would see what they can do to help. I think it is important to call them so thanks to those who recommended that in the first place. Keeping my fingers crossed for power restoration.

I called. Spoke to a lovely woman. No REAL information. We just have to suck it up and try to stay sane until we get power back.

Power just came back on Meadowbrook Place

The pseg website says only 114 without power in SO. Really? Why is it that no one I know has power back?

Still no power up on Blanchard.

Their restoration plan (as of yesterday) says that 1,920 customers are out of power. http://www.pseg.com/pdf/PSE_G%20Workforce%20Schedule20121105%200600.pdf Waiting for today's update to their plan. Also, PSEG just said on their twitter feed something I guess we all know: Montclair, the Oranges and Maplewood will all see delays due to backyard serv which delays tree/wire work" So if the problem is located in someone's backyard, it's still going to take awhile. Getting very old with the colder temps.

Yes. Their excuses are getting very old especially since there seems to be so little visibility in Newstead. Saw and woke to a Florida "pole" truck yesterday. But again, saw no one doing anything.

BTW. Now the spreadsheet says only 93 without power in SO!

I was told by FPL yesterday they have 8 poles to install and it will be anywhere from 2-5 more days. I live on glenview close to mountain ave.

Well dandy. The number of SO customers with power out just INCREASED by 35% from yesterday's restoration plan to today's. From 1920 to 2619. NP Alicia, it's not the most intuitive document in the world.

Called PSE&G this morning by 8 upon hearing that Gregory, winding way, west orange got power last night. Got excited since this area is so close by us. About about a mile fm Wyoming/highland/ etc.; however as per service rep, we r on track to get power back between today, tue. till Nov. 9. Could not believe Nov. 9!

Both side of Mountain seems to be up. But the rest of us are on a different grid. Also heard that crest wood circle is up. But Blanchard is not

Only NORTH side of Mountain is up. Rest of us still dark.

Power crews on mountain drive, in my driveway, yesterday. Said they needed trees trimmed from wires. Asplundh trimmed trees. Power crews never came back

Asplundh in driveway again today. Said power crews were here this am and put in request for more tree trimming. Asplundh has again left. Wouldn't put any money on power crews returning.

Has anyone in Newstead or Blanchard got power back? This is beyond belief.
