Thank you from SOMACommuters

With the holidays almost upon us I wanted to take a moment to thank all of those working towards returning to the level of train service South Orange deserves.

Trustee Mark Rosner, for all your knowledge and experience having been through something similar before with South Orange. I thank you.

Lee Pollock, for constantly helping me keep a level head about the end game, as best you can, help me keep politics out of this. I thank you.

Steve Kitzinger, for providing excellent legal and technical knowledge and helping to decipher the current schedule and what could be done to improve it. I thank you

Dave Solomon, for providing a much needed insight into the commuter needs of the Hoboken riders. I thank you.

Trustee Bauer, for reviewing and providing input into the NJ Transit resolution the BOT passed earlier this month. I thank you.

Trustees Michael Goldberg and Nance Gould, for providing a sounding board and additional village support. I thank you.

I also wanted to make sure that those who read this understand the importance of the issue surrounding the NJ Transit revised schedules and how it is much, much more important to EVERY SINGLE person in South Orange, Maplewood, West Orange, and Livinsgton than it is to focus on the utilitiy companies.

Remember, people do not choose where to live based on what utility company services that town. But you can be assured that they choose what town to live in based on how long the commute will be.

Scott, thank you for galvanizing local support on this important issue and leading the charge on behalf of commuters. It's a daunting task to gain the attention and respect of a state-empowered monopoly; and, you've demonstrated the willingness and perservance to take on NJ Transit.
