Members view some of the most talented filmmakers that have made modern film what it is today. This fall the focus is on Italian films and filmmaking. The films are masterpieces of cinematic vision that deal with life, personal development, social issues, and philosophical messages. Film club membership includes six films introduced by educator, artist and film maker, Gerard Amsellem. Participatory discussions follow each screening.

The Baird is a century-old, Tudor-style building that houses the Department of Recreation and Cultural Affairs' administrative offices. There's a theater space used by three companies: Dreamcatcher, Penny Pretzel Playhouse and Flying Ship. The Pierro Gallery is located in the building too. Outdoor facilities include eight lighted tennis courts and a lighted basketball court.

The Village's Senior Social Services Unit is also located in the building. The office is open Tuesday and Thursday, 10am - 4pm. Its phone number is 973-378-7766, ext. 2225.
