Lustig Dance Theatre
Lustig Dance Theatre opens its 2012-2013 performance with“Shake Down the Stars” – ten dancers, four inspiring works! The critically acclaimed contemporary ballet company will offer three brand new works and a revival of Artistic Director Graham Lustig’s “Infinitum”, based on Parce Mihi Dominea from the Book of Job. The highlight of the evening will be Lustig’s “Shake Down the Stars,” danced to a selection of iconic jazz ballads performed live by a jazz quintet. Lustig has created the work especially to fit the organization’s season-long focus on jazz. The ten-member company will also present “Oblivion”, a collection of passionate tangos, and “North Star”, a lyrical duet to music by Philip Glass’s Etoile Polaire.
