Want to try your hand at a cooking class? The Adult School is presenting all sorts of hands-on courses for the novice and seasoned cook alike.

Options include Vegetarian Cooking, Indian Cooking, and Healthy Fall Desserts.   Chef Bernice DeCarlo will be teaching Vegetarian Soup on Oct. 13 and Vegetarian Cooking on Oct. 27. Chef Randy Rabney, a certified holistic health counselor, teaches Vegetarian Cooking for Teens on Nov. 4. Come hungry; there will be generous tasting portions.

Monica Puri Bangia will demystify Indian Cooking on Oct. 28.  Chef Jesse will be talking turkey on Nov. 11, just in time to help with your Thanksgiving feast.

Plus, Bernadette Armiento, a certified holistic health counselor, will demonstrate Healthy Fruit and Vegetable Smoothies on Oct. 12. She'll also be presenting Healthy Fall Desserts on Oct. 26, and Muffin Madness on Nov. 9.

The cooking classes  take place at South Orange Middle School.
