News, South Orange Robin Ross Closing, and Stony's Starts Anew Project

Robin Ross Closing
Some stores are stores and some stores are unique. As it was said "After six years as one of the village center’s premier merchants, Robyn Ross is closing its iconic South Orange retail store." Iconic it was as Robin Ross brought, very classy, big town city styles to South Orange NJ. And yes, after 6 years  Robin Ross is closing. You can read all about it right here.

Found out - Stony’s Takes on Renovation of Former Stuff Shirt Restaurant in South Orange
Renovations are under way at the former Stuff Shirt restaurant at 19 Valley St., which will become “Ricalton's” under new owner Stony Johnson.

There will be 3 stores out of one if all goes as envisioned.

  1. Bar, dining room on Main floor with entrance off the stone walkway.
  2. A downstairs pub called SNUG having a look of an Irish cottage  with entrance off the Sloan street parking lot.
  3. A  Tiki Bar on the roof, that may be a year or two away.
In Ricalton’s, the owner is creating another option for a great night out in South Orange. Read all about it by clicking here

Being a website designer in South Orange NJ, I always love the local activities and will be sad to see Robin Ross go and happy that Stony's Restaurant is rejuvenating the Old stuf Shirt as many of us know it.  I guess as they say one door closes and another door opens.
