Time to Vote Johanna Wright for BOE - It's the Wright Way to Vote

Today is the day. Talking ends at 8 PM and we will have (Hopefully) a change in the South Orange Maplewood BOE.  I took a walk through my beautiful  town, to my polling place and voted bright and early. So hopefully you will get out and vote too as there are many serious candidates and issues that need to be addressed and resolve.

A Huge One For Me- Common Core

Elect Johanna Wright to the South Orange / Maplewood Board of Education

I wanted something new and different so yes I voted for change and hopefully you will to.

Few Strong, Notable Endorsements
  • News-Record Newspaper  Proud to have the The News Record's vote of confidence. Our local News-Record newspaper officially endorsed my candidacy for school board Thursday. Johanna Wright. Click to read it here
  • John Amos -  Watch as John Amos, actor and NJ native, gives me his vote of confidence!

  • Students become Adults - As a 7th grade student in S. Orange, NJ, the joy of having a teacher who shared my family's values, was inspiring. When word of her fierce intellect and warmth spread across the student body, that SOMS has a teacher who complimented our foundations, and cared about us collectively and individually, I knew I was finally in the WRIGHT place.

Gently encouraging our focus on excellence, nudging us to strengthen our talents, and providing safe and specific developmental opportunities with civic responsibilities at the forefront, as we were becoming global ambassadors - the bar was raised in the WRIGHT way and we led by example.

After college, I regularly visited this teacher whose purpose by now, was well established - to unapologetically partner with parents to champion the dreams for their children - to be the best they can be. The WRIGHT method has been proven, in the successful career paths of hundreds of students.

I may no longer be a resident of South Orange, NJ, but I, as countless others do, owe a debt of gratitude to Johanna Wright for the road she helped us build while shouldering innumerable burdens and challenges - never hinting of the resistance - but demanding of us, that we become contributors and remain WRIGHT in this world.

That's right as Mrs Wright has always said, it's about the kids.

Wright for BOE Official SitesWhy Vote - Manouska Matthias Jay says it best

Simply loving Mrs. Wright/Coach Wright or remembering how funny she was in middle school or on the team will not alone get her elected for Board of Education. Simply thinking "oh she's got this" will not help her "get this" (we appreciate the positive attitude though). Getting out with your friends and family and voting will! Polls are open NOW until 8pm this evening. MAPSO, let's be known for our schools again. #VOTEWRIGHT — with Johanna Wright.
