Next year is a big year in sports for the state of NEW JERSEY, in February is the SUPER BOWL, which everyone who is a football fan...or has known about for a couple of years, but did you know that from June 14th to the 21st, New Jersey will be hosting athletes from all 50 states for the 2014 USA NATIONAL SPECIAL OLYMPICS summer games?
South Orange is very well represented as 8 SPECIAL OLYMPICS athletes from JESPY HOUSE will be part of the home state...TEAM NEW JERSEY. There are 2 athletes taking part in softball, basketball and soccer and one each in Track and Field and tennis.
I want to congratulate Kirbee Stern and Michael Perris (softball); Khair Marshall and Brian Pitts (Basketball) Mike Herman and Steven Deluca (soccer), Greg Liddy (tennis) and Ted Karafin (Track)...GO FOR THE GOLD!
