Columbia HS Hosts 20th Annual Italian Dinner & Music Night

The event is open to the public

NJ children's author and classical singer Patricia Brady-Danzig will be the very special guest of The Italian Cultural Club of Columbia High School for the 20th Edition of Italian Dinner & Music Night, which will celebrate the local regions of Italy.

Brady-Danzig, who will be the guest of honor at the invitation of Italian teacher, Domenico Tancredi, will read "Fabrizio’s Fable” (La Favola di Fabrizio) written in English and Italian, to the dinner guests and will play her rendition with full orchestra from her CD, "Sharing” of the Italian aria, "Vissi D'Arte" from the opera “Tosca” by the famous Italian composer, Giacomo Puccini. Brady-Danzig will also tell the story of the Puccini opera to the audience before she plays the piece. “Tosca” takes place in Rome, the capital of Italy as well as of the Lazio region.

Patricia Brady-Danzig commented on the Italian Cultural Club’s Italian Dinner & Music Night,  “This is a very important event for me, especially because both of my sons, Steven and Matthew, graduated from Columbia High School, but also because this special night celebrates the great Italian culture and the beautiful Italian language, a language that I fell in love with during my classical music career and my travels in Italy and Sicily. Classical music is so often expressed in the beautiful and musical Italian language. My children’s book, “Fabrizio’s Fable” (La Favola di Fabrizio) was also written as a celebration of the beautiful Italian language.”

Although she is not a native Italian, her love for the Italian language and music will permeate throughout the room and her presentations will add much more enthusiasm for the learning of the Italian language and culture.”

The entire evening including dinner and music costs $25 for adults; $15 for students to benefit the Italian Cultural Club of Columbia High School.
