Friends Of South Orange Library Offer Great Bargains on Books

The Book Cage, a second-hand book store at the South Orange Library, has expanded its hours.

One of South Orange’s best-kept secrets, The Book Cage has expanded its hours.

Tucked away on the mezzanine level of the South Orange Library, this modest bookstore run by the Friends of the SOPL is a bargain book-hunter’s dream with $2 hardcovers, 50 cent paperbacks, and $1 media.

The new hours are Mondays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m., Wednesdays 4 to 6 p.m., Thursdays 1 to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m.

The Book Cage is also accepting donations of children's books.

The Book Cage kindly reminds residents to bring donations to the store on the mezzanine level, and not to leave books at the circulation desk.
