Founded in 1982, the JCHC develops and manages more than 475 apartments in five buildings for seniors in Essex and Morris Counties and provides housing, programs and services for the independent elderly living in these communities, many of whom have special needs.

"The way in which seniors are cared for is a reflection of the community in which they live,” said McKeon. “The Jewish Community Housing Corporation provides a sense of pride and belonging to residents in their service-enriched apartments equipped with ample active and assisted facilities. They do this with respect and compassion, as can be seen by the attention to detail and personalized care in the buildings that they manage.”

McKeon and Jasey presented a joint legislative resolution to Murnick and JCHC CEO Harold Colton-Max.

"We were gratified to be joined by Assembly members McKeon and Jasey for the celebration of this important milestone for the Jewish Community Housing Corporation,” said Colton-Max. “We are appreciative of their ongoing efforts to support the development of quality affordable housing for senior citizens like Village Apartments of the Jewish Federation throughout the State of New Jersey."
