IT Technician

Status: Full time

Relevant Experience

Technical/Functional skills responsibilities will be to install, configure, troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain and resolve problems within a Microsoft Windows organization and with Microsoft Exchange experience. Other responsibilities to include performing daily operational tasks such as proactive maintenance, problem resolution, provide all tier levels help desk, provide on-call support to open requests/incidents/problems in online ticketing tool, participate in weekend maintenance activities (such as mailbox moves, mailbox load balancing, Exchange Server build and deployment) as required, manage backup solutions and manage Spam/Virus filtering technology.

Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred but hands on experience will be taken into consideration.

This individual should be comfortable working in an organized and structured environment, be able to continually provide knowledge and feedback to other team members, be willing to learn from others, provide leadership to others, and assist in developing and following system support processes and procedures.‹ Candidate should be a results-driven, detail-oriented self-starter possessing strong interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service and documentation. This individual should possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, adjust to changing priorities and different personalities, and work independently as well as part of a close-knit team.

BUILDING DEPARTMENT

PART TIME CLERK TYPIST BUILDING / HEALTH DEPARTMENT

TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH ORANGE VILLAGE, Essex County, www.southorange.org, is seeking a responsible, organized individual with strong customer service and computer skills for a part time Clerk Typist position in the Building / Health Department.  The successful candidate should have excellent computer skills, the ability to multi-task, strong customer service skills, including interacting with the public in a professional manner. Municipal experience preferred.  Experience with Mitchell Humphrey construction software is a plus.

POLICE DEPARTMENT

Crossing Guard

The Police Department is currently looking to hire individuals for the position of Crossing Guard in a “fill-in” capacity, with the possibility of being hired on a permanent basis. Individuals must be 18 years of age and be in good health with good vision and hearing; and attend a short training and safety course prior to their start. Starting pay is $16.52 per hour, with posts in the morning, mid-day and afternoon and of varying lengths.
