South Orange Gymnasts Earn First and Second Place at YMCA Meet
The South Mountain YMCA Aces Gymnastics A and B teams competed in a meet against Fanwood-Scotch Plains.
Young South Orange gymnasts, part of the The South Mountain YMCA Aces Gymnastics A and B teams, took home first and second place in their meet, Saturday, against the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA.
The girls are coached by Courtney Hazelwood and Ed Bell.
- Kellyn Shuster of South Orange, (level 8 A team), won first on beam with an 8.9 and second on floor with a 7.7.
- Grace Healey of South Orange (level 7, B, 12 and under) won 2nd on bars (6.8), beam (8.1) and floor (7.9).
- Taylor Milch of Montclair (level 7, B division, 13 and under) won first on beam with an 8.1 and fourth on floor with a 7.8, as well as third All Around.
- Jordan Dodson of East Orange (level 7, B, 12 and under) was tied for third (7.1) on both beam (7.1)and floor (7.2)
This was the first B level competition for several team members.
