South Orange Hosts Free Health Fair Saturday

Free Health Fair will be held Saturday, Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fire House.

Concerned about your health? The Village Department of Health is hosting their seventh annual free health fair for everyone on Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fire House, located at 56 Sloan Street.

Screenings will be conducted to test your eyes, hearing, blood pressure, spines, blood glucose (fasting required), and cholesterol (fasting required). In addition, blood donations (nonfasting), prostate screening, osteoporosis screening, pulse oximetry (pulmonary).

Children can receive a child identification kit and be screened for lead. The South Orange Domestic Violence Response Team will be present for any questions. There will also be a pediatrician, medicare updates available, reiki, and a physical therapist at the health fair.

Free radon test kits will be available (limited amount). Kids can enjoy face painting and coloring books.

Participating with the Health Department will be Total Hearing Screening Care, Blood Center of NJ, South Orange’s Fire, Police and Rescue Squad, South Orange Chiropractic Center, Seton Hall University, NJ CEED (St. Michael’s Medical Center), Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Reiki, Livingston Masonic Lodge (Child I.D. Kit), South Orange Pharmacy, East Orange Department of Health, Aspiring Kindness, Watchung Pediatrics, and Domestic Violence Response Team.
