South Orange Symphony Concert

The South Orange Symphony, a volunteer organization committed to bringing quality musical performances to the people of South Orange, Maplewood and the surrounding area, will perform a free concert at the South Orange Middle School on February 19th at 3 p.m.

The Symphony website reports that on the program for the afternoon is:

  • Camille Saint-Saëns - Danse Bacchanale from Samson et Dalila (Samson and Delilah, the opera)
  • Pyotr Tchaikovsky - Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35
    featuring Ethan Siegel, 2011 (Non-Keyboard) Artist Competition Winner
  • Morton Gould - American Salute (Based on "When Johnny Comes Marching Home")
  • George Whitfield Chadwick - Selections from Symphonic Sketches: Suite for Orchestra
