interACT Theatre Productions Moves to New Home

Theatre of the community now resides at The Baird.

interACT Theatre Productions has moved into its new home at The Baird in South Orange, where auditions will take place in early 2013 for its next two mainstage productions, Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite and The Full Monty.

interACT, now in its fourth season, presents inclusive and accessible community theatre. This fall, it presented Arthur Miller’s The Crucible. Currently, interACT is rehearsing its youth production, Charlotte’s Web.

“We were overwhelmed by the community's support of live theatre,” said Elena Svitavsky President of interACT Theatre Productions, of this Fall’s presentation of The Crucible. “As the opening production of our first full season, we were thrilled to have full houses during the second weekend of our run, and look forward to continuing to bring high-quality, thought-provoking productions to our audiences.”

Charlotte’s Web is the company’s first youth production and will be performed at The Baird on January 25-January 27.

“The Baird theatre is a versatile, intimate space which will allow us to further our mission of bringing theatre to the community, and the community to the theatre,” Svitavsky said.
