Photo of the Day: Flashback to the Slope

Laundromats are iconic. Nearly every community has one. One of the longest-shows on television, East Enders, is set in and around one. 

Laundromat Wash & Dry on Seventh Avenue, at the corner of First Street, is an old one, serving Slopers for years. The sign has, say locals, not changed in decades -- though it has seen owners, neighbors and thousands of garments come and go.
