The IRS has hit singer Lauryn Hill with a tax bill totaling nearly $1 million.

Hill, a South Orange resident, reportedly owes the feds more than $866,000 for back taxes dating from 2006 to 2011, according to RadarOnline.

The former Fugees front woman was charged with tax evasion in 2012 and sentenced to 3 months in prison for not paying more than $2.3 million.

Hill, who graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, is best known for her multi-Grammy award winning solo record, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

After she was released from prison in October 2013, a judge allowed her to postpone 3 months of scheduled house arrest in order to go on tour.

Send her racist ass back to jail where she belongs. Think a normal person would get 3 months off to go back to work instead of house arrest.

Enough already, the woman has children to feed. Where is the father in this matter, he was there when she was doing well. being a woman, she like most don't know much about financial matters. Who ever she had managing her money, more than likely stole their share. Cut her a break, she not the first, and want be the last, she was young and not very smart in her financial issues. Have some mercy on Ms. Hill.

How can she pay this ridiculous amount of back taxes, without working. Looks like another Willie Nelson style government persecution/prosecution. IRS should be put out of business, along with incompetent/corrupt Homeland (In)security!
