South Orange Dolphins Swim Team Win Back to Back Division III Championsip

In what was another dominating night, the South Orange Dolphins swam their last meet at West Caldwell on Tuesday night.  The Dolphins came in to the meet 7-0 going for a perfect record and a second Division III Championship.  West Caldwell was coming in 6-1 having only lost to South Orange earlier in the season.  The Dolphins swam in what has become their signature style.  With a strong bench across all age groups, the Dolphins came out to win placing swimmers not only in 1st place but 2nd and 3rd to capture points and close out their season with a decisive win.  Head Coach Claudia Minde and her coaching staff, Nigel Hunter, Justin Zelenka, Brenna O'Keefe, Jessica Antiles and Maggie Woodruff have successfully created a work hard/play hard team that is known as much for its prowess in the pool as for its fun and inclusiveness.  The Dolphins Swim Team is open to all age and level swimmers with many of its star performers having started doggie paddling across the pool just a few years ago as younger swimmers.  The season comes to a close next week with Divisionals on Monday 7/29 and the Meet of Champions on 8/1.  The Dolphins Swim Team has many of its swimmers participating in year round club teams in the area during the school year and this fall Coach Claudia Minde has been tapped to take the reigns at West Orange's JCC Metro Express Swim Team as well.  It has been a tremendously successful season for South Orange thanks to the support of it's many involved parents, the wider community of fans and the South Orange Township Recreation Department.
