The economic tide is turning in South Orange - the good news is that many new businesses opened in town in the past few months!

The SO Village Center Alliance (formerly Main Street South Orange) is celebrating by holding SIX grand openings this Saturday, September 15th.

We will be joined by Village President, Alex Torpey and other members of the Board of Trustees to celebrate with these entrepreneurs and cut the ribbon for their businesses.  

Here is the schedule starting at 11:00 am:

11:00 am: BCB Bank, 200 Valley Street

Formerly Allegiance Bank; now Bayonne Community Bank, a thriving community bank that prides itself on hard work, friendly and knowledgeable customer service, with all the conveniences of local banking.  

11:20 am: Valley Portuguese BBQ, 311 Valley Street

Delicious Portuguese-style barbeque; eat-in or take-out.  

11:40 am: Spa Lady Next Door, 55 Academy Street

Elite COED High Intensity Cycling, Cross-Train & High Intensity Training Studio  

12:00 pm: Love & Yogurt, 65 South Orange Avenue

Sweet, tasty, fresh, low or no fat frozen yogurt, plus all your favorite toppings and sauces! What's not to LOVE!

12:20 pm: Stuff Village Mercantile, 50 W South Orange Ave.

Stuff - like a country store! Variety of antique glassware, homemade jewelry, furniture.  One-of-a-kind inventory: always changing.   

12:40 pm: Kimaya Kama, 108 West South Orange Ave.

A global market of eloquent gifts, exquisite clothes, jewelry, footwear, home accessories and furnishings.
