Kitchen a la Mode Turns 5, Celebrates With Sale

Kitchen a la Mode, the award-winning kitchen store in South Orange, is celebrating its fifth anniversary. The shop, which frequently tops "Best of" lists throughout New Jersey, turned five on July 15.

"Kitchen a la Mode opened just two months before the bottom fell out of the economy, so it's quite humbling to me that we're not only still around, but have been able to grow in product assortment, location, staff and more," said owner Ben Salmon. "I am grateful to so many customers in our incredible towns for taking the leap in a down economy to visit and support our store, spread the word to others and be a part of our Kitchen a la Mode family."

To celebrate, the shop is offering what Salmon called the "15-5 Plan," where customers can get 15% off their entire purchase when they buy five or more items. (Some restrictions apply.)
